Maria Eugenia Vallejo, flautista ecuatoriana seleccionada por competencia para tocar en Carnegie Hall, Nueva York para representar a Western Michigan University. Ella se desempeña como solista, y músico de ensambles de cámara y orquesta realizando conciertos en Ecuador, Colombia, México, Canadá y Estados Unidos.
Vallejo ha participado en festivales reconocidos como en Round Top Music Festival (USA), Orquesta de las Américas (México Crescendo Tour), Bonita Boyd International Flute Masterclass (USA), Anatomy of Sound (USA), Academia Internacional de Flauta (Colombia), Festival de Flautistas en el Centro del Mundo (Ecuador), entre otros. Además, ha sido miembro de numerosas orquestas como Richardson Symphony
Orchestra, The Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, Toronto Concert Orchestra, Royal Conservatory Orchestra con directores de renombre internacional como Carl St. Clair, Leonard Slatkin, Gábor Takács-Nagy, Michelle Merrill, y otros.

A su vez, Vallejo es una educadora apasionada que ha impartido clases magistrales en el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, Centro Fox y Esperanza Azteca en México, y ha trabajado como profesora de flauta en escuelas de Frisco (USA), Lippert Music Center y Ware Academy of Music (Canadá), y la Fundación Orquesta Juvenil del Ecuador. Fue Asistente de Flauta en University of Miami y actualmente ocupa el puesto de Asistente de Profesora de Flauta en University of North Texas. Tiene títulos de Western Michigan University, University of Miami y Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Actualmente, está cursando el Doctorado en Artes Musicales en University of
North Texas, y trabaja como Mánager de Comunidad Digital con la Orquesta de las Américas.

Maria Vallejo, flutist selected by competition to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City to represent Western Michigan University. She is an avid solo, chamber and orchestral musician who has given performances in Ecuador, Colombia, Canada, and the United States.

Vallejo has participated in renowned festivals such as Round Top Music Festival (USA), Orchestra of the Americas (Mexico Crescendo Tour), Bonita Boyd International Flute Masterclass (USA), Anatomy of Sound (USA), Academia Internacional de Flauta (Colombia), Festival de Flautistas en el Centro del Mundo (Ecuador), among others. In addition, she has been a member of numerous orchestras such as the Richardson Symphony Orchestra, The Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, Toronto Concert Orchestra, Royal Conservatory Orchestra working with distinguished conductors like Carl St. Clair, Leonard Slatkin, Gábor Takács-Nagy, Michelle Merrill, and others.

In addition to performing, Vallejo is a passionate educator who has given masterclasses at the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, Centro Fox and Esperanza Azteca in Mexico, and has worked as a flute teacher in schools in Frisco (USA), Lippert Music Center and Ware Academy of Music (Canada), and the Fundación Orquesta Juvenil del Ecuador. She was the flute teaching assistant at the University of Miami and currently holds the position of flute teaching fellow at the University of North Texas.

She has degrees from Western Michigan University, University of Miami, and Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Currently, she is pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of North Texas and works as the Digital Community Manager with the Orchestra of the Americas.
