Es uno de los clarinetistas más expresivos y emprendedores de Panamá. Desde marzo del 2017, es Profesor de la Universidad de Panamá y fundador y director artístico de la Muestra Internacional de Clarinete de Panamá – MICLAP Festival.

Ha sido solista con orquestas en Honduras, Colombia, Ecuador y Panamá, y ha dado recitales de cámara, en Costa Rica, Guatemala, Beijing y Estados Unidos. Ha merecido el primer lugar de la competencia 2015 de Mississippi Music Teachers Association en la categoría Graduate Solo Competition en los Estados Unidos y grabó para NAXOS Records, el disco “ALCHEMIZE: Music for Wind Band” con la USM Wind Ensemble.

Alexis Fong es Artista para BG France y representante para Panamá de la Asociación Internacional de Clarinete (ICA). Además, es embajador del Festival Internacional de Música Guaranda, Ecuador y del Atelier Cultural en Panamá. Ha recibido clases maestras de importantes maestros como Anthony McGill, Julian Bliss, Jose Franch-Ballester, Charles Neidich, entre otros y ha colaborado en conciertos con Rachel Barton Pine, Paquito D’Rivera, Deborah Voight, Danilo Pérez, Ransom Wilson, Marco Antonio Mazzini y Carlos Miguel Prieto. Obtuvo su Licenciatura en Música con énfasis en Clarinete por la Universidad de Panamá y un Master of Music con énfasis en Ejecución del Clarinete por la Universidad del Sur de Mississippi, Estados Unidos.

He is one of the most expressive and enterprising clarinetists in Panama. Since March of 2017, he has been the Professor at the University of Panama, and founder and artistic director of the International Clarinet Exhibition of Panama - MICLAP Festival.

He has played as a soloist with orchestras in Honduras, Colombia, Ecuador and Panama, and has given chamber recitals in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Beijing and the United States. He has won first place in the 2015 Mississippi Music Teachers Association competition in the category Graduate Solo Competition in the United States and recorded for NAXOS Records, the album "ALCHEMIZE: Music for Wind Band" with the USM Wind Ensemble.

Alexis Fong is an Artist for BG France and representative for Panama of the International Clarinet Association (ICA). In addition, he is an ambassador for the International Music Festival Guaranda, Ecuador and the Cultural Atelier in Panama. He has participated in masterclasses with important teachers such as Anthony McGill, Julian Bliss, Jose Franch-Ballester, Charles Neidich, among others; and has collaborated in concerts with Rachel Barton Pine, Paquito D'Rivera, Deborah Voight, Danilo Pérez, Ransom Wilson, Marco Antonio Mazzini and Carlos Miguel Prieto. He earned his Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Clarinet from the University of Panama and a Master of Music with an emphasis on Clarinet Performance from the University of South Mississippi, United States.
